Ok. So, to mount my Plano AW Tactical 56" hard case onto my OEM rack, I'd need the longest available bottom rail mount? And two of the other rail mounts to attach to the case?

Also, what's the difference between low profile and high profile bottom rail mounts?

And did you get the lockable rails?

    Thanks Jimmy

My case is about the same length as yours. I bought the low profile 32" bottom rail and the 16" lockable mount for the Pelican.

I stole the idea from another guy on here. That's how he did his. I like your idea of the long Bottom and dual case peices. Much more expensive though.

I just threw a bungee on each end to keep it from rattling.

I also used a couple of big Quick Fists to mount my driveshaft on the rack. The one piece won't fit in the bed and I'm not taking my trailer on the NH trip.

Now I'm going to go drive it and see if anything whistles...

I was thinking something similar but it doesn't go into the cab does it?

That's not a bad idea. This was my solution but pvc is huge and cumbersome, hard to fit in the fender. Exhaust tubing is much slimmer.

    IMG_7210.jpg

The pvc cap will have holes drilled into it with a screen. Going to explore the exhaust tubing since it's all open.
