I THINK.... Alignment can help with weight distribution as in major weight changes can mess up the weight/alignment geometry

Was talking about the telling me to STFU. Not @Braves95 situation. That shits not entertaining. Id be pulling my hair out just as he probably is trying to figure it out.

 

So did the alignment. Still the same. Gonna take a break till tomorrow morning. We just want to step away. Refresh.
Tomorrow gonna do the following:

Put the gas tank skid plate back on. As I had to take it off for @Mobtown Offroad sliders.

Take each tire off and check the balance.

Rotate tires

Install front diff. Drop if all else fails.

If none of that works. The bumper will come off and recheck.

I'm at my wits end.

 

I wonder if it could be an aerodynamic problem not machanical problem.

 

@Braves95 What kind of tires are you running? I've experienced tire flat spotting from nitro terra grapplers and from the fallen wildpeaks I have now. Usually get a slight vibration at 50+ but only for a few minutes of highway driving and then they smooth out. Does it the first time I drive on the highway for a few days and then doesn't do it again unless I don't drive at highway speeds for a few days. For example, when I got on rt 18 today to get on the turnpike to go down to the pines, I haven't driven highway speed all week, got a slight vibration that was gone within a few minutes of getting onto the TP. Didn't do it again the whole trip of 150 miles of driving. Hope that helps

 

It happens all the time. Back roads. Highway. Doesn't matter. I drive 45 mins to get to the shop. Does it the whole time. 25, 35, 55, 70. Now it only does it between 45-60.really bad at the 45-55. I'm going to record it and hope u guys can hear it and see it in the rear mirror tomorrow. Getting to shop at 7-7:30am.

 

Do you have a gopro? Attach to the area you think is bibrating and record it.

Could it be the rear end itself?? How to test if it's the rear end?

 

The diff itself shouldn't vibrate. If anything it would shudder on acceleration or you'd hear rotational metal on metal type noises. Especially given the year of the truck I'd probably rule that one out.

 

Rear end as in diff? I don't think gears would vibrate. They would more like lock up and such...

 

OK. Just throwing out there just in case.

 

Why not take your drive shaft to a driveline shop and check for balance?

 

Think drive shaft was removed and truck driven in 4hi to remove rear DS from equation.

 

Yep. Was taken out to eliminate that. So tomorrow job is.
Rebalance tires then road test
Rotate tires then road test
Front diff drop road test
Remove front bumper road test
Then if none fix it get a go pro under there and see if we can see or hear under there.
Last is to have the shafts looked at and possibly replace.
Then if not then well insert truck where the emoji is.

 

Gotcha. I lost track of what was done when.

 

Take the bumper off first. Didn't you say that you had this happen once before and the bumper caused it?
