Stuff to make go more off road
Should start off with less difficult trails to get used to off-roading and learn your rig. If your not sure of your own limitations then you'll end up making some big mistakes.

My vent hose was in good condition.

Could've been one or more of three issues:
    (1) two loose electrical connections ( I soldered them.)
    (2) poor spring electrical contact (of the three flat springs. I adjusted those upwards for better contact.
    (3) dirty contacts. Cleaned those with alcohol

I believe @diabetik81 made the right choice based on the type of wheeling he does.

I thought I was making the right choice (aluminum) based on what type of wheeling I was planning on doing.

... then I met all of you assholes. LOL

2nd option. He TALKED very politely, complemented them, told them they would look better on his garage floor and bam they came off his truck. Wendy was surprised how gentle and soothing he talked to his flairs. :D :boink:

I'll have to take a look at what ZFG is.

All glass companies seem to have sales all year anyway and 25% off for Black Friday.

Looking back, I could have probably paid for the glass by selling the good sheet metal afterwards.

With that said, I still have my cut up old fenders and sides if anyone needs them for repairs or whatever. I scavenged some pieces off the bedsides already to make the McNeil glass work. They are a total garbage company. Such a bad experience and product. Beware.
