Thats not OEM. Only go OEM honestly unless DK or TC or anywhere other than aftermarket direct replacement

 

You beat me to it. @Byb127 , manufacturer is AM, not Toyota. They are oem replacements, not oem parts. Still might be worth a shot for that price. You'll still need hardware though. Here's the oem part numbers w/pricing but you might get them cheaper online. Camelback Toyota has good pricing.

Not in my hood. A couple different dealers were asked to get the lca off the old frames and even with connections they weren't having it...

 

Damn computers limiting how you wanna drive. That's some bullshit. I have a drive-by-wire on mine, with a cable backup. But my computer doesn't get in the way of much except cutting fuel at redline. I'm sure your newer truck has lots of "I know better than you" interventions.

You welded your gears? Must drive like shit on the road then. Or so I've heard. Never been in a vehicle with welded gears. I'm on 4.10s as well, but mine aren't welded lol. Got the 3.4 in mine, so it does ok. Definitely underpowered compared to the 2nd gen's 4.0, but mine also weighs a few hundred less. I can have some fun with it, but I don't wanna blow through tires, so I take it easy. I got my truck more for wheeling than tracking (though you wouldn't know it; I rarely wheel...)

 

I've rebuilt a set of LCA's. It sucks ass. All the time it took to do I'd rather just buy a new set.

 

Rebuilding lcas is easy with the right tewls and a few tricks up your sleeve

 

And patience- which I do not have for that task.

To @Subway4X4's point about the 2011's being different - I thought I read on here a few months back that somewhere later in the' 05-'11 series (might have been 2011, same time they did the honeycomb grill) headlights started coming in a darker, "smoke" option and people with earlier years in that series were ordering the 2011 smoke part number as a replacement since they have the same fit.

I was actually planning to look into this more once my headlights eventually stop bouncing back from lens restorer, but not at that point yet. This sound familiar to anyone or am I losing it?
