After a buggy trip to Virginia I finally bit the bullet and spent $5 on red covers for my rear camp pods. I’ve always run ambers and felt like it cut down some bugs and delt with it. Put the red covers on last night and after a while on I didn’t see any bugs swarming the lights. Still need to be field tested but shoulda did this years ago...

Here’s a few pics no covers -> amber -> red

Finally mounted up the propane tank. Two 6” SS T-bolts feel very secure. Also put a sheet of rubber at the base of the “Jerry can.”

Oh wow. That's crazy- such a small world. It's nice over there on Cliff. I'm on East Lake. You know there's a bunch of guys in Fayson with Offroad Tacos now. I actually recruited one of them to take his stock truck out to Rausch and do the green trails with me. He had a blast. Do you ever get over to Main Beach for events or anything? I'll PM you to see if we can meet up sometime.

I was cutting oranges for rusty sombreros so I look speed blur. The swing out looks legit! Great view of the chainsaw mount.

My tires are getting loud and old. I was going to switch to 255/75-17 duratracs. Most driving I do is sand. Bad idea to put a skinnier tire for sand? Looks like the size difference is nominal.

Skinny tire on a bicycle yes. On a truck your fine. Don’t let the phrase “skinny” for a truck tire deter you from thinking it won’t be good on the beach. Play by the rules and properly air down and you’ll be fine. I ran 255/80/17 on the beach for years with no dramas. The fatter tires only benefit from not airing down or minimal air down to float on the sand.
