    I just change my own oil. A year ago, I almost bought a 4Runner. In the paperwork, the dealer tried to charge me for the free service.

    Read the fine print on the window sticker of a new car sometime. All the dealer prep crap they charge you for is included in the MSRP as well. Doesn't stop every dealer from tacking on a charge for that. When I bought my Tacoma I literally walked the salesman over to a car and read it to him, instant $500 price drop.

    The dealership the 4Runner was at wanted to charge me $5k in protection and maintenance options, paint, key fobs, tires, oil, windshields, etc... I think the only thing that was "included" when I bought the Tacoma was the free oil changes.
