Nah, seems like cops in Jersey don’t fuss over fenderless jeeps, loud motorcycles or lifted trucks. Besides, there’s not much a cop could complain about with my truck.
I think most people that see/hear it just assume it’s a POS - white fenders, bypasses clacking and other assorted creeks and whirs.

In my hood cops don’t care much for fenderless jeeps but a lot in the summer season they’ll hit up some doorless jeeps that don’t have side mirrors. Also noise complaints are big around here.. I know stories of cars, trucks, motorcycles that have all had tickets for exhaust. But like you said as much as my truck sticks out I don’t get messed with. Haven’t had a front plate since I got a front bumper 3 years ago and no dramas.

Just did the “keep enough beer in the truck to think you’re lifted and armored” mod.

I've had no plate since my bumper as well, which was even longer than yours... I got stopped 3 times in the same spot, all 3 times by port authority while they were just on foot directing traffic by the holland tunnel (all 3 ended in just verbal warnings and conversations about Ron).... now I just wedge my plate between the dash and the windshield (only when I'm on that area) and I've been good since... but other than that cops have not bother me else where either. And thinking about it, when I DD'd I was covering a territory that is probably the most saturated in the state as far as close proximity for city/county lines and the amount different cops (city/town cops, different county' sheriff depts, and state troopers)

Do you have your axle over the leaf set up on your truck? I think I seen your truck at the Harbor Freight in Rt 18 a while back

What size? Our extended cabs are sooo tiny. Fridges means losing most of your cab space.

Yeah... and here I am thinking about losing my center console, for a fridge in the RC.

    Yep.
That would require pulling over for road sodas, unless I can train the dogs to open it and pass me one lol.

52qt... same thing as the smittybuilt fridge. It takes up the back pretty good, but I don’t use it for anything as is.

Dog is too big to be comfortable back there and I want to make a sleeping platform in the bed for me and the gf so the fridge can’t really be back there

And as Mojo pointed to... the access to road sodas is a huge benefit :drunk:

Hundred percent agree, that’s why I have mine behind the passenger seat

Very noticeable to anyone standing outside. Very noticeable to me when driving at slow speeds over bumps that quickly transition from compression to rebound. The radio at a very low level makes it unnoticeable and when I start going faster the exhaust drowns it out.

It’s amost undetectable at highway speeds. Off-road it just makes it more fun. I like that sort of stuff though. My Buell is so obnoxious it makes me laugh like a little kid when I drive it around town.

The bypass clack is almost comforting at this point. The first time out of my driveway I immediately pulled over. Even though I knew they were going to make noise it was startling. I did a quick nut and bolt inspection and actually noticed that I hadn’t retightened my limit straps as a fortuitous consequence.

I think ADS might be louder than most. But these modifications aren’t for the timid, conservative, easily offended, self conscious, snowflakes and likely most wives. So they’re probably right up your alley.

Smart. Mines not mounted yet, planning on there though so my girlfriend can access it while I’m driving. Want to put it on a slide to be able to get to it behind the passenger seat at camp... not sure if this is a repetitive thought, had several pops tonight.

Don’t you have one that opens along the long side, Mike? That would be ideal in these trucks.

Yup! And I have it setup so that when I open it, the lid gets wedges into the wall trim so it can hold itself open for me while I am bulk loading or digging to the bottom for shit.
