The blind asking the blind to see for them is not a way to get answers. As Craig said HE WAS NOT INVOLVED in the conversations and was put in an awkward situation. Myself and Anthony caused that situation. As a result I removed myself from the situation to make it less awkward for Craig and just steered clear for a bit. I reached out to Joe and have apologized. I like you're plan.
I coated both the frame and the mating surface of my sliders with Fluid Film before re-installing, then sprayed the hardware after assembly.
I'll let you know if I see any rust, I check yearly at late summer before re-applying.
