That’s what I’m gonna try first.

But keep in mind , yours is a young 6 year old truck.

My truck is 14 years old and that’s about 140 @Grand dude years. Everything but the frame is rusted.

Ha! Karen said it must have auto corrected. I’m just gonna go with it.
Pretty sure a five pin will work if you only want reverse lights. Although, you might as well just go seven so you have the option for brakes later.

I thought the options were 4, 6, or 7 pin

Who the fuck would bother. I always hated 4 flat anyway. I always had 6 round until my dually. It came with 7 pin RV. By far my favorite connector.

Here's what I put on mine, 7 pin on top and a 4/5 flat on the bottom so you don't need to carry the adapter if you have a 4/5 pin trailer.

I got me some of them. Just have to splice in my reverse light on the truck side still LOL

No brakes here on mine. I am thinking currently with just the tent on my trailer I am weighing in at 500-550 because I can no longer lift the tires off the ground. fully loaded i am probably at 750 before firewood. and my firewood goes in the bed anyway. I am going to see if I can weigh my trailer next time I am at my parents an have time to run to my uncles yard

Hear that. That’s why my car trailer is still sitting where I parked it after someone ( friend of a friend) borrowed it to take hunk of shit to his POS junkie family member in Virginia, and returned it with a seized bearing, destroyed brake drum and shoes.
“What happened” I don’t know I was rolling down the highway doing $80 and I look back and all I seen was smoke. “THANKS DICK”

Always one idiot. If you borrow something and it blows up on your watch, you fix it.

I am reminded of a story.
A friend of mine, a very hard worker, knowledgeable, and generous with his help, was working on one of his many projects, when an acquaintance showed up at his house hoping he could get his lawnmower fixed. This guy was by no means destitute, and in fact owns his own house, business, and a dozen or so rental properties.
He proceeds to ask my friend if he would look at this mower immediately, as he needed to cut his grass that evening. He of course paid no need to the fact that my friend was elbows deep into a project.
Turns out that the mower was about 15 years old, a simple non-self-propelled push model. Being the kind soul that he is, he dropped what he was doing and looked over the mower. Turns out it was low on oil. This guy not only never bothered to change the oil in the entire time he owned it, but never even checked the level. My friend added a few ounces of oil, and the mower fired right up.

    Take away from this situation:
Maintain your shit. If you don't know, learn.
Exhaust every resource at your disposal to attempt to remedy a problem on your own before wasting someone else's time.
If you have a 15 year old mower that you can't start, buy a new one. Fucking thing doesn't owe you a damn dime.

There are only a few types of people on this planet. Users, generous souls, and idiots. And somewhere in the middle are those that actually ask for help because they are trying to learn and are not wasting your time.
I will gladly help all but idiots and users. Those two types will never change, and will only waste hours of my very precious time.

    Sorry, rant over.

I believe lawn mowers should last at least 20 years. :)

But then again, I try not to go cheap on stuff that I expect to go the distance.

And I always believe in following maintenance schedules.
