    iPhones and select Samsungs are waterproof up to 6 feet for 30 minutes. Water resistant would mean they can only handle a splash, not full submersion

    When I did the pine barrens 500 it was funny to see the guys with expensive gore tex riding gear pull their water logged phones out of their pockets that were full of water. If I have to carry my phone while wearing rain gear, I keep it in an interior non waterproof pocket. At least then it won’t be sitting in a puddle.

    Yeah lesson learned that's for sure. First phone I lost due to moisture, not bad considering I used to used them for underwater filming in Hawaii and Mexico. The case just finally lost it's waterproofing. Going to get the XR which is IP67 rated vs IP68 like the XS or some of the other ones so I'll still also be getting a waterproof case as well. I abuse my stuff, I need as much protection as I can get.

    As for photos from yesterday, not many, but these were sweet.
