    When I emailed back, probably some other dude responded, someone who knew what was going on in the world of Metric vs SAE

    Axle assembled with hubs, bearings and new U-bolts have been ordered. Thanks.

    I need to get this trailer done and move on...

    No brakes yet, but will probably will do trailer brakes in the future, so should I already use a 7 pin connector and harness?

    I wouldn't say a glob but, a nice coating on the first four threads, or so is all you need. The nut will bring the compound down the threads.

    in all honesty out of all the spots that one would want to avoid any possible sheet metal damage...
    if that door latch ever broke off the repair bill would suck and it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to total the car out
    that is not an area where you would want any type of body repair IMHO
