Nothing personally as I’ve never used one. Actually my brother has a used smitty winch that works flawlessly but we also resealed it and greased before we installed it. I’ve just heard many negative stories about them which honestly I don’t know if they are true cause like I said the only one I’ve dealt with in real life works fine. That being said I travel a lot wayyy off the grid (some might not realize this since I don’t post much on social media) so even though I don’t use my winch much it needs to work when I do use it. I heard enough negatives about smitty to decide against them. If you don’t mind doing maintenance from time to time and and you always travel with a group or within cell signal I’m sure they will work fine.

Side note I don’t like when hunter puts words in my mouth or anyone else’s for that matter hence the sense of dickness in my replies to him:p

Understood. Wasn't even questioning that. I'm not up fo anyone putting things in my mouth... o_O

Cool. Thanks, I appreciate your input  This off grid stuff is completely understandable, and you're not a first person who mentioned that point.
I looked at Engo as well, not big price difference from Smittybilt and xrs are ip68, which is nice.
Can't find right now the one I think HHG has, from what I recall it was like twice the price. Might be mistaken though
