New cars have way too much shit controlled by computer. Like electronic operated e-brakes

    OMGLOL! Typical though.

I had an MK4 GTI before I got my Tacoma. If I didn't know what I was doing, it would have been such a money pit. Anyways, the kid I sold it to LOOOOOOOVVVEEEESSS the car. If he had only known what I had to go through to get it to that point.

That's what drove me to the Tacoma. Had a grand Cherokee and then a Cherokee trailhawk before this..fully loaded. Could have been an awesome car if I ever got to drive them. Both spent thier weeks at the dealer until I got fed up

He sent me a picture of it the other day.

Lots has changed visually since I sold it to him.

Hey lads hope you guys are doing well! After neglecting to buy new tires for way longer than I’d like to admit it’s starting to get dangerous... if anyone comes across some decently priced tires let me know.

Don’t worry Dave. I have it on good authority that they’re going to put an end to that three term BS. It’s going to be OK.

I just picked up an SI for daily driving and the only thing I hate about it is the stupid electronic e-brake.

If I had a dead battery I could not do the old "pop the clutch" trick to start it.... in fact, if my battery was to die, my e-brake would be stuck...

    Another strange thing.

My fuel gauge needle is moving with the sloshing of the fuel. This has never happened before.

So now you're upset that your fuel gauge is too accurate? You're just never happy are you? :p

I’m more concerned that there now seems to be two things wonky with the gauge cluster.

    Yep.
    :pccoffee:

That's physically controlled by baffles in most tanks, but ours is WFO. Wonder if there's some type of resistance in the circuit that delays the signal :notsure:

@6 gearT444E get back in here you Avi nerd.

I believe that that is the case. Or something like that anyway. When I had my auxiliary fuel tank, it would take a long time for the fuel gauge to register the transfer.

ah pewp, i can only explain away one problem at a time. perhaps it's Tim's eyes that are sloshing :notsure:

I'm going to bet that the common denominator being the gauge cluster, that you have a bad ground or connection somewhere. Baffles will help the sloshing but ultimately I'm sure there is some type of averaging and delay circuit using capacitor smoothing in the gauge cluster. I've noticed when wheeling that if you park on a steep incline or decline, the gauge does eventually go up or down.
