Gravity says the heavier you are the harder it is to flip.
And most of my weight is from the tail lights down.. cap, tent, and cargo box don’t even dent the scale compared to tires, bumpers, drawer, jerry cans, etc..




And don’t assume all cap drivers would flip, that’s like assuming all 3rd gen owners can’t work on their truck

Sooo. I edited chux’s quote to only include the part about third genners not working on there own trucks. BUUUUUT you are an odd genner so you might be a fan of the third gen bolt on brigade of Instagram fan bois

 

I remember the days when I looked at 2nd gen’s the way you guys look at 3rd gens

Also @Chux you might have a bunch of weight, and that weight might be low, but the higher you put other weight, the higher your COG gets regardless. So your 200lbs of tent above the cap is magnified compared to the weight you have down low.

Truu, unless your ratio of weight down low is superior to the weight up high, thus counter weight. Same concept vertical on our trucks as horizontal on a tower crane. The long arm and ability to hold weight without tipping is cuz the counter weights.




I would guess my cap, RTT, and cargo box are 1/4 the add on weight to the the truck. As mentioned most (maybe 3/4) of the weight is at tail light and below allowing me to hit the trails like....

Found a brand new smoker with some junk on a curb. Put this thing to work this weekend.. Never smoked before and results were bangin!
