The debate has gone on for years but the only thing allowed in NJ is paying exorbitant income and property tax rates and letting the pennsytuckians and shewbies onto our beaches to trash it.

aside from that, NJ only exists for the rest of the country to complain about.

don’t forget the only way camping is allowed is by a fee. Nothing like paying to sleep outside.

And if you're ever on Long Island, don't let the authorities catch you looking up at the stars in certain parking lots without your $60 (out-of-state) stargazing permit ;)

Not just a fee! Where to camp, when to camp, and how to camp then pay your fee. NJ only offers seasonal camping in state parks and you must camp in designated camp areas.

My wife’s friend built a teardrop to take camping. She was going around staying at different campgrounds in NJ to just get out for a weekend of fresh air with some friends nothing crazy. She said one campground (I think it’s most) has quiet hours, no noise past 10pm. Well I guess they were getting loud one night telling stories and laughing that security was called. Security showed up told them to be quiet AND took their alcohol. I was floored when I heard the story. Fuck that.

    enough to have fun

That’s literally the worst. The whole point of camping is to get away from everything and everyone.

All of this is why I’ve decided that on my next build, I’m going to do a really capable truck with a Flipac, and fancy Australian long range fuel tank. Then not really wheel at all. I’ll just set up in chain auto part store parking lots to get pics for the Gram.

And of course, I won’t actually do any of the work myself. That would just be silly.

Yes. I will also invest in some really stinky cigars.

Probably buy, and then bogart, a fancy drone.

I was disappointed that NH was not much better.

I've been to a bunch of campsites in and out of state and I've noticed that 10pm noise restriction. So not just NJ for that one. But yea, state parks + alcohol has always been a no go. Not often enforced unless people are drinking and being disruptive.

My wife and I brought our snowboards to Jack Frost on Saturday for the Subaru thing. Due to kid things, they never came off her roof.
