I’ve heard by people on this forum that when you have an electrical gremlin, even if it was resolved years ago, best things to do is part your truck out because it will never sell otherwise....

    Apparently so.

I have ALSO heard, that there are those who think it’s funny to to try to sabotage others for sale posts on Instagram with tales of electrical issues.

THEN, continue to spout off about said electrical issues, even months after they have been addressed.

This all has to be false however. I mean, no one could be THAT much of a douche bag.

First time posting in this thread. Not a native New Jersian but proud to call it my home.
Got this from an overland bound member. Very excited to get on the TNJT when things clear up.

It’s some kind of twisted internet fantasy land popularity contest. Just like “getting likes”. Individual A takes picture of his/her truck In front of a rock or a sign or auto parts store. Gets 35 likes. Individual B takes the same picture from the same angle at the same place at the same time of day and gets 264 likes. Is individual B better then individual A? Does this mean A is a loser, is B a poser with “bought” followers, possibly robots? Does individual A even care and just posted the photo to share an experience vs individual B whoreing photos all over multiple social media platforms to crave attention? Who the hell knows. Maybe individual B’s dad used to piss on them in the bath tub when they were a child and the werent hugged enough and being popular with people they don’t even know helps them justify their existance. Maybe individual A was hugged just the right amount as a child and is content with only 35 likes. Social media is a fucked up place and there is no rhyme or reason to what is popular and what isn’t. I’ll tell you one thing social media platforms Are the only place I’ve seen people with no experience look like hero’s and knowledgeable people are chastised and shunned into the corner with the unpopular kids.

That clears it up. From what I gather there are people who want to belong to something and naturally want to seem like they have been there from the start and those people buy patches to boast and act like they have been here since the beginning, but turns out they just got the patches off some website because other people are doing it?

Idk man I had a 22RE at 17 and put 300k on that thing. ABS snorkel held on with self tapers ,lol ya know typical no money moves. Seems like this overlanding stuff isn’t that,it seems it is just a popularity contest. Gonna asume at one point it wasn’t about proving shit.im gonna assume it was about doing shit.
