This is what I was working on in my studio before the shutdown. Cast iron sculpture made form a CNC carved foam pattern. CNC plasma cut mounting plate for the wall. Cast on site at Long Pond Iron Works State Park in Hewitt NJ. Will be installed in their historical Museum with images and description of the iron pour.
(Looking forward to putting the CNC plasma to use for the Tacoma when I’m allowed back to work)

Had fun exploring this spot near my house again. If anyone in north jersey wants to come play in the mud lemme know.

 

Is it legal?

 

That’s the weird part, it kind of is. It’s been a wheeling spot for many moons, very infamous around here. No signs, no barricades, no cables. Multiple entrances. It is definitely not sanctioned but I think it is allowed. From what I hear as long as your not using it to shoot drugs or have a bonfire the police are ok with it. Saw multiple trucks yesterday and a few ATVs.

 

Got ya. There's a bunch of places near me just light it. No signs, etc but depending on what your doing back there it's "legal".
