I was kind of figuring I’d have to tear it out yea, I’ll have to see what it’ll cost. Could add some outlets while I’m at it.

I would def leave it being the garage. In the house I’d rip it out. Paint it like primer gray and maybe the color change will make it not so apparent. Idk if it’s currently white or that pic was just a internet grab. If you do t like the textured look white is the worst. It’ll have so many shadows pop it’ll bring out the texture even more. I think a gray will make it subtle.

Could always make pallet walls (and ceiling) :D

    Yep.
Doing pretty well, been doing a bunch of wiring on the RC since the frame swap; went flawlessly, it's driving like a new truck... well, was till I tore it all back apart lol.

Picking up a new rescue dag on Saturday. I'll have to post up some pics later... he's from the same town in Georgia that we rescued our last one and he looks like he could be from the same littler, same age and everything.

How's father life treating you? Hope the fam is doing well!

you lost almost 2” of wall space with that pallet wall, that’s highway robbery. Almost as bad as the Kit Kat’s.

It’s actually 1/4” furring strips i made out of 2x4s and the Fo-pallet is actually a mix of 1x4s and 1x6s I ripped to 1/4” thickness and variable lengths. So tEcHnIcaLLy I lost 1/2” of garage depth. But I get what your saying a loss is a loss.

I do like that look. And I wouldnt have to find studs to hang small things lol. My walls are currently a dark yellow color, I wanted to paint them a light gray because it would make it look bigger and brighter. The walls and color in the garage have been the same since we moved in 14 years ago so I just want something new. Were the pallets free?

I milled my own boards, as stated above. I’ve dismantled pallets before and done walls with them and 1, it’s a pita to dismantle and 2, there’s a big inconsistency of boards per pallet. To get a clean look I took common board 1x4s and 1x6s ripped them on a table saw and ran them through a planer. Then stained different colors and installed. It was a long drawn out process, I kinda made it longer than need be doing bits at a time. The main goal was to hide my well room door you can see in the first pic, that came out good. But then I got into detail of wrapping the pallet around the bump out steel rack I made to look flat if you step back. All shit in my head nobody would notice lol

Anyone interested in burning in some alignment tabs? Shop folded over two of them. Wondering if I should just do the TC tabs or Simply run a bead along the back of it. Thoughts?

If you aren’t wheeling hard I’d just run a bead down the side tabs. I’d burn in the tabs for you on one condition, your cam bolts aren’t seized in the bushing.

wheeling things, like driving on sandpaper

I hope they’re not! I mean...They shouldn’t be, anyway. They received a liberal amount of anti seize years ago. I could have a spare LcA and bolts on hand though in case, Sawzall :sawzall:
I’ll have some good beers and bourbon from my road trip I can bring down. We gotta discuss that mid Atlantic BDR route anyway!

How long was the drive out there? Like 35 hours? If you have extra time, Arches national park is pretty damn cool!

I wish I gave myself more time to explore Arches when I was there. Was on a tight schedule to start my return journey home.
