As you can see from the build thread tires are the same diameter but theyre wider on the trailer because thats what was out there that I could use. If you use the trailer springsas is the hub center to the deck will be lets make it up... 10 inches... say you got a tacoma lead pack and mounted it in the trailer... well now the tacoma leaf pack is obviously made to handle different weight and the ride height will change and most likely make the hub center to deck gap bigger thus giving the trailer a taller ride height making it almost even with the truck if you put on identical tire sizes.

Try checking the connection. If that doesn’t work maybe contact them directly, perhaps their stimulus check bounced. 0B09E970-9F7D-4443-AB70-0961B80ABF64.jpg

I understand where you assumed all the jingo jango but my application is different than yours. My trailer is a stand alone piece. It’s not to be paired with my truck as it’s main build purpose is for family camping. I’ll pull it with the tacoma or pull it with my wife’s 4Runner (on 31s) depending on destination.. Ride height is what it is. But it’s clearly not going to have the same ride height as my 10’ trailer cuz of the 33s going on the camp trailer. As far as tire height to the sidewalls or even fender issues, it is what it is. This is a custom build and I’m making my own fenders.. All the guidance in suggesting I go your route to have the same setup of a matching truck and trailer height is askew when the end goal is different. Again my goal is to family camp with the trailer and wheeling trips or solo exploring it’ll be left at home.

I was just making you aware. Unless you decide you're buying multiple drop hitches or an expensive adjustable drop hitch your trailer will ride tail up or nose down both of which are unsafe. The trailering angle is probably one of the biggest things to worry about aside from distributing the load evenly over the axle. I only bring up this point because I was involved with a trailering accident. Shits scary and no joke and there was only 2500lbs on the trailer rated for 7500. Big lifted truck trailer angle was tail down and the load was right over the axles. Fishtailed and the trailer flipped. Obviously worst case scenario. Was just my 2 cents. In a perfect world youd have a matching set of tires for the trailer for each tow vehicle.

how are you doing yours? You have the tent on the truck youre next in line to move it to a trailer lol

For you South Jersey local yocals, go check out CKB. I was lucky enough to be a part of the construction almost 3 years ago. Their beers are now in stores :)

Dude I’m aware. You spend too much time on FB tacoma groups making people aware..

I’ve been driving a variety of truck and trailer combos at work for 20 years now.
I understand a thought to give someone a heads up but from the beginning your telling me don’t use the trailer leaf pack rated for your trailer axle, use “truck” leafs or it’ll ride to low.

It’s NOT going to ride really close to the ground. Lol

This whole thing has been confusing from the start and I just been curious where you were coming from. But it’s all an assumption of your opinion, no real life facts to my setup. And a personal experience of a trailer accident due to the rear of the trailer lower than the front and fish tailing. I get that. I have multiple hitches for multiple vehicles.. I pull my utility trailer with my high clearance rear bumper and my wife’s 4Runner with stock receiver location.

Bro, your drop hitch is way too long, if you put that on your wife car, it's gonna be 2" off the ground.

I prefer a pintle hitch for those reasons, can't be getting any friction fire on the ball hair

According to hunters maths a truck on 44’s is gonna have the same ride height as a truck on 29’s if they both use the same leaf springs. Makes alotta sense actually and saves me some money now that I know bigger tires aren’t going to give me any more clearance
