Can you still lay down those beads along the cam tabs before the heavy drinking starts? Unless the drinking makes the welds straighter. Then we can drink first and weld later. Or simultaneously.... :drunk: Did Mike hit you up on what you want us to bring btw? I also have a nice bottle of bourbon from one of the craft micro distilleries in KY that I'm bringing down along w/ a whole bunch of beer from that trip.

No air hammer for me. If those cam tabs can get reinforced, I'd like to swap in new oem LCAs. Was going to slide the taco tabs in too so I can drive home straight w/o having to wing it on alignment adjustments.

Got my first non-wing-it alignment in a decade literally yesterday. After the new rack bushings, inner and outer the rods, bearings, and lower uniballs I figured I'd treat myself for a change.

Nice! Must drive like new after all that. I have a new rack/rod ends and axles to do eventually too. All worn, torn and in need of replacement. It's finding the time to do it all.
But yea, the last (real) alignment I had done was before my road trip last month and that's when they folded over and cracked the tabs, getting me to where I am now.

Time is definitely an issue. Been trying to fix this thing up and prep it for sale for at least the past 2 years now. Now that it's finally road-worthy again I'll put several hundred miles on it to make sure it's solid, flush the differentials, clean up some electrical stuff that's leftover from my racing days, and list it. Of course, it'll probably take yet another year to get to the point but at least I can drive it again :)

Having it driveable is honestly the most important part. I had my '49 down for almost a full year. I even hated going into the garage for other reasons and seeing it sit there. Maybe you'll find out that you enjoy it again and decide not to sell

I definitely enjoy the hell out of it. The plan was still to keep it after the first kid but after having a second I want something with more seats so I can enjoy it with the family.

Both boys are still way too young to sit in it but I'm planning for the future. It takes like 5 years for me to execute any of my plans anyway

Yep, those shiners are a special breed, only a few can control themselves from drinking the profits away. You know the rickety ones like him are always looking to wet their lips, just make sure their willing to sip what their selling.;)

Glad I'm not the only one lol

Thanks! It's really a blast to cruise in. If we have another gathering before the snow falls, I'll bring it and you're welcome to take it for a spin.

    Awesome, thanks!

My riding lawn mower has a plastic "stationary" pulley on the drive belt. What jackass thought it was a good idea to use a plastic pulley? Anyway the pulley exploded and now the mower won't move. Anyone have any experience with older craftsman mowers? Lt1000

Sure thing. You’ll have to catch me early. There’s a peak for the bead quality. After about 3 or 4 beers is on the other side of the bell curve. Mike said he’s bringing some margaritas. I’ll have plenty of beer and food but if you want to bring something you can.

Yes, throw it in the trash and get a kubota or a Dixie chopper.

Or get a 3D printer and just print a new pulley every time you need a replacement

If I could afford one I would, surprisingly this mower is 20 years old and running strong. Well besides the broken plastic pulley lol :notsure:

Def spendy. And consider the more people ya got (up to 16) the less you’ll surf...
My buddy owns The Surfers View site and has live cams all over. He has one at the Flow House in LBI. He had to go fix the cam so me and another buddy went with him to get a free session. It’s spendy as well per hour as it is but what I realized when we hopped on a paid hour of other folks was the more people the less you get on the board.. Basically go till you fall then get back in line. Some dudes were killing it and you watching for 5-10mins at a time during your (paid) hour.
