I actually had mine out on the roads about 2 weeks ago but stayed local. Howell/Lakewood/Brick. The truck was honestly running great. Was.

Currently waiting on a delivery from Jaz. The FuelSafe bladder gave up the ghost after 12 years so I'm replacing the big custom tank with a 22 gallon poly one before putting the truck up for sale. I can't in good conscience sell a truck that's not safe and a fuel leak is just not acceptable.

So, anybody with tractor knowledge, I just saw a sale ad for a John Deere 790 right down the road from me and I’m thinking of looking at it. But I don’t know what I’m looking at when it comes to tractors. Obviously look for leaks, abrasion on the hydraulic lines, etc. but what else? And can anyone explain to me how the unsynchronized 8 speed works on that thing?

They are known as pretty good tractors, decently powerful for their size, lots of attachments available. I believe they were actually built by yanmar and just sold as a John Deere but yanmar has a good reputation. All the unsynchronized 8 speed is just a 4 speed with reverse and a separate shifter for high and low, all gear/range changes should “technically” be done at a stop

Shame too, I can’t find anything else. There’s plenty out there that’s out of my price range and/or too big for me to transport myself

Out of curiosity, is there anybody here that has the ability/and it willing to transport a backhoe? I found a decent one but I don’t want to look at it if I can’t even transport it

Thanks man. Quiet the process. This October will be 3 years “breaking ground” turning the garage into a personal shop. But I knew what I wanted and just kept chipping at it. I spent a lot of time on details you won’t even notice or see unless I point it out, but it makes me happy. One of the best things about the garage is that the bedrooms in the house are far enough away that no matter how loud I am or how late it is.. Wife and kids can’t hear it. And it’s still and always a work in progress. Finding new storage ideas or finding a new home for new tools. With projects throughout the shop renno project, a wife and two kids now and still chipping at garage and other projects, I’ll sleep when I’m dead amiright
