I was mowing my lawn and got lit up by them a few years ago. They built a nest the size of a basket ball in one of my bushes and would chase you anytime you went near it. I waited till night time and wrapped a rag around the end of a long stick and poured tiki torch fluid on it. Used it as a torch and held it on the bottom of their nest while spraying wasp spray at it.

I didn’t see a single hornet escape.

I picked the right week to take a staycation. Didn't have to deal with any of that nonsense. Just watched the storm from the back porch.

My brother wasn't so fortunate. He lives out near Allentown, PA. Took him over 4 hours to get home because of downed trees and flooded creeks. He drives a gladiator with a lift and 35's, and at one spot where he actually crossed the water was almost to the top of the hood. He said he turned back at a few that were worse. Told me he's going to be a mall crawler with a snorkel after dealing with that.
