lmao I'll probably get some Bilsteins to level it out, I don't want to increase the distance to the ground when i drop my motorcycles unloading them.

    :duh:

TBH Bilsteins ride like shit too. But you are potentially on 20 year old shocks and springs, so I imagine it probably does ride like shit at this point. Pics of the coilovers? Also check the rear for cracked leafs.

Truth. I had my shocks so aggressively valved that they still feel like shit on the street, but I knew that would be the case.

trans temps were around 220. I literally did 10 under speed limit the whole way not to deal with braking or gear changes. The car trailer doesn’t have trailer brakes :anonymous:

been having issues with my coolant temps recently getting up to almost 300, first noticed pulling a quad to Vermont. Hot, traffic, AC on.. and it never settled after that. Just don’t run the AC and cooler days shes ok.

    Speaking of.. That new new

Gotcha, well that's not too bad then. But 300 on the coolant temp seems a bit high, do you mean 200?? I put a 160 degree thermostat in mine and blew out all the dirt when I replaced my condenser and temps don't go above 185 anymore like they used to when I bought the thing LOL

    Nice far wheela!

Anyone here from north NJ? My gears are almost broken in and looking to hit some trails with my 91, used to go with the NY/NJ Metro Jeepers when I had my JK, just looking to see if any Toyota guys/gals on here in north jersey are getting out.

might want to check a New York thread. North jersey is up there closer to them.

    Thanks

Are you on facebook? I used to go to Stag Hill in Mahwah and the Ramapo MTS with the jeep guys, maybe start a page on facebook and find Toyota owners that want to hit trails. I heard Stokes has trails... most on here seem to be south jersey. Can you still wheel Pine barren trails?

Yes. We in New Jersey universally recognize North Jersey as New York

Stokes has no legal trails, all have been shut down. Stag is also illegal and in all the FB groups I'm in I'm told now heavily patrolled. You have the pines but we are slowly losing that too. Your best bet if you want real wheeling are the usual suspects, Rausch, AOAA, and FRO.

I get on facebook and I’m in a few tacoma related pages but nothing as far as offroading around here. Even when I had my Jeep. Though I’d like to. Most pages I’ve been in they’re all down south jersey. If you find any let me know. We might be better off checking out NY pages. I’m a good 2 hours from the pines and wharton

I'm definitely interested but as others have said there are very few options in north jersey. Pretty much need to head south past Jackson or further to pine Barrons.

I did find some post about a trans Atlantic or coastal trail that's from the bottom of Jersey to the top. Haven't found a proper map of it though.

I live as north Jersey as you can get and there are zero trails, there’s one dirt road left in stokes but it isn’t even worth traveling on unless you really want to kill 5 minutes and cover your truck in dirty water to justify having aftermarket tires. Any decent trails and any dirt road that leads to any “attractions” are all closed down now and only accessible to hiking.

I did hear about that, I think a couple of the dudes from OK4WD did it, but I haven't found a map of it yet either.

The TNJT (trans new jersey trail) years ago was mapped by a guy who wanted people to pay for his time/effort to do it… it apparently goes north to south and is mostly paved roads. If your looking for a scenic ride through NJ I’m sure it’s on the internet somewhere, if your looking for offroad adventure I’d move on..

Cause y'all are googling the wrong name. It's the Trans NJ Trail, and was originally a dual sport trail. Then some douche named Leon thought he could market it to the overland crowd (I call bull shit on his "good intentions" because he is all about whoring himself out for whatever current hobby he is on) and tried charging for a route he merely adapted to the broverlanders.
