I miss those prices too, but I certainly don’t hold it against them. Prices for everything are going up. I doubt the owners of rausch are getting rich off of it. It’s a very expensive business to run, and you basically have customers 3 days a week, 3/4’s of the year. Pretty sure the logging they did a few years ago was to help cover costs too. For the couple of times a year that I get to go wheeling, the cost of rausch isn’t gonna kill me, and it’s sure a lot more fun IMO than AOAA (except on bikes and quads.. then I really do like AOAA).

yea center diff makes awd into a 4wd. “It locks a viscous coupler” … at least in my 100 series. Idk about 80’s.

Land Cruisers use a viscous coupler all wheel drive system. The center differential lock mechanically locks the transfer case. The other two mechanical locks are in the front and rear solid axles. We are ALWAYS in 4wd so we don't say that. We can put the transfer case in 4 High electronically however via a switch mod. I know Tacomas are inadequate in these areas so I'll take the ignorance as jealousy. :p But seriously it's a very good system but plagued with the same Toyota sticky diff lock actuators like you little kids in Tacoma with rear diff locks.

I mean I know the land is leased, so that is their main overhead but realistically there isn't much other overhead. It's not like they are acquiring more land or running a ton of heavy equipment all the time. While I agree it doesn't break the bank I haven't seen much changes to the park itself to warrant the increase in prices.

I think they have to maintain it somehow. It's leased from the State. It's a lot to maintain.

Snowstorm wasn't too bad here. Saw it on the radar last night and noticed it was all east. I'm sure Long Island probably got hit hard. But maybe 6-8 here. Which is about the same depth as the layer of salt the towns and state laid down.

That’s about what we got. But it’s still falling here. As I was clearing some sidewalks another layer of snow started to collect before I even finished

I like low gear in the mountains with ice under fresh snow with the 5.29's turning 37's getting 17.4 MPG's around town with the ole 22RE. Loving them Grizzly lockers too!
