My son just removed his from his camaro so he’s safe. Now it’s out getting tuned.

 

They’re starting to hit everywhere now. I had mine stolen early July. Since then about 5-6 people in my apt complex, and recently a dealership just had 15 cut out

 

Hi gang checking in from south jersey just found this nj thread. Figured out why my new axle broke at RC a few weeks back- it’s cuz I’m an idiot and when I rebooted the inner joint I didn’t put the grease in the cup instead I dumped it in the boot and never greased the bearings- moron I know live and learn.

 

glad you got it figured out Joe! Was good meeting you briefly, wish I could have helped you more but had to jet. I gotta do another swap again myself, my clamps keep hitting my coilovers and shearing the boot at the clamp.

 

Yea it's crazy! I really don't think it's even just druggies doing it anymore. The amount of videos i've seen of people doing it in broad daylight as bystanders (even cops) hardly do more than talk shit to the people, the amount of scrapyards that pay top dollar for them no questions asked... it almost looks like it's just a business at this point. Kinda pathetic really

People are getting desperate. I know I scrapped two that someone gave me off of their own celica exhaust and I got $80 each this past winter.
