The aerodynamics of the hood on these trucks is very wack. It's basically neutral at highway speed except for the section right over the fan. That causes the hood to flutter and wiggle around a lil bit while having upward tension on that latch and over time it can cause issues with the latch. With my cf hood it was pretty bad for a while before i got it sorted out

I have been looking into this option. I cant believe how much people want for used hoods.

I'll hood pin the shit out of it.

I was thinking about this option too. I may be able to weld a plate inside the hood then weld the latch to it.

    Yes... :mudding:

Beer is just as good as cash.

I've noticed that over the years. there seems to be a lot fluttering in the hood at highway speeds. It also appears that I have small cracks in the upper radiator support where the rubber adjuster hit the support.

So I’m working on a long term issue on my land cruiser and was wondering how long gas can sit in the tank before going bad if anyone knows. It’s been in there about 10 months now and could be there for 6 months more. If I need to drain it where do I take the bad gas to in or to dispose of it properly here in nj. Thanks.

My project Ranger was sitting for over 1.5 years before I moved and it started right up to drive to the new house. And it sat for almost 2.5 years before that and I just put $20 of plus in it to drive it that time. I should probably drain the tank soon before it sits another year.

I was thinking about it. I wanted to avoid it. Used it a few times and ended up with a smokey mess on a few other gas engines. Not a fan of it.

Interesting. Well, hopefully you'll be good for at least a year because my snowblower still has gas in it from last year since I was too lazy to drain it. I never used the stuff myself.

Sir you need 50 posts before putting anything up for sale here per the forum rules, good day to you.

many years if you buy quality gas. I’ve had the same tank of gas in my 4runner for 4 years and it starts right up. If you want to get rid of it let me know I’ll dispose of it via bonfire starting fluid.
