I bet you can find one in even better condition in the south. That was my plan when I eventually need a new bed/cab, just buy a cheap mint prerunner from the south.

Just saw on facebook that King Of Hammers Ultra4 is coming back to Rausch Creek in March… i might be inclined to go out and watch.

    :rolleyes:o_O?

considering what clean used toyotas sell for and what new toyotas sell for, i suppose 5-10k is "cheap" relatively speaking for a mint 1st gen bed/cab donor

Correct, but they exist and it's better than starting with rust. And you can make the money back stripping it for parts. Not to mention this crazy car market won't be like this forever.

right… someone hit me up to buy my trailer and tent and i went to look at what the price is for the tent… i guess CVT is discontinuing the soft top tents for the hard tops or maybe coming out with an even better model

Anyone ever experience a clunking in the front end when reversing and cutting the wheel? Believe my steering rack is going out now with 170k miles.

Could be a few things. Rack bushings, cv axle, tie rod end, ball joint, etc. Gotta get under it and check some stuff

already did. Nothing sticks out, even removed the CV axle and just stuck the cut off one I have in there. Still clunks. Racks the only thing I can think of but it only does it one way and not the other. Its weird.

Do you guys have a rack guide that can be tightened? Our's bias the driver side. I have heard of that causing a clunk before.

Narrowing it down to the rack I believe, its just odd. It only does it in reverse. And only on the right side as I cut the wheel from right to left. On the lift it does not do it.
