That would be a deal breaker for me. I hated shore traffic. The worst I dealt with it was when I started working in Bloomfield at BMW commuting from Redbank. Friday afternoons leaving work would be a 2-3 hour drive home vs 1. I would stay up there, eat and drink at a bar then leave later and still get home around the same time. It's also how I met my wife lol.

Luckily I had company truck for all work travel i would of not done that if I had to use my personal. No chance. My territory for work ranges from brick twp to ventnor city. And everything in between.

This pain I feel it, I worked in Montclair for a while commuting from Clinton area but worked 7-3 so traffic actually wouldn't get that bad. Now when I was commuting to Roseland from the same area sometimes traffic on 287/78 would for sure hit 2-3 hours.

287 can suck just in general no matter the time. Always car accidents. Never fails when I'm on 287

YES! construction hours 7-3? My commute up to Bloomfield wasn't bad since I was leaving the house from Redbank at 6. My wife had an apartment 2 minutes from where I worked. We started dating and I told her I'll pay the rent if I can move in fast. She agreed and here we are 13 years later.

LOL When my kids can drive they won't even need to touch the wheel. Luckily we can gift them our 4R and the Tacoma in 16 years...

I can't imagine driving out there all the way from Clinton, my goodness.

Shit, I have a <10mi commute when I go in, and it takes 45 minutes. If I leave at lunch I can go back home, eat lunch, and get back to the office in less time.

Nope my work was just flexible with my working hours so I can avoid traffic.

Lol yeah it fucking sucked. Now my commute is 15 steps away, wfh ftw.

But the actual office is in Philly, I am going tomorrow to have a nice view of the parade.

Lol yeah I didn't even watch the game because I don't like football but when in Rome and all that. I also never liked or watched Nascar but we got invited to the pits because our friend worked for the media team and being in the pits was cool as fuck. Not to mention getting headphones that lets you listen to the team and driver communicate during the race. I may not like this stuff but I won't pass the opportunity on a very rare situation.

Hell yea! Not a nascar fan either but I used to go down to Daytona every year with my dad and uncles. It just screams America and high cholesterol. We would also stay for bike week a week or so later, that is FUN.

the tire you should be buying is the cooper discoverer ST MAXX. Best tires ive ever had. First set lasted me like 70k miles or more. This set im on 50k or so.

as far as a 4x4 shop Id look somewhere over the border in NY for one honestly. But if youre a mechanic you should be able to do all the work yourself no issues. Im in the middle of moving shops but once were all set up in the new shop Ill have 3 bays with lifts.

As far as MPG goes, I went taller and wider (and much heavier) and according to old school math my MPG went up by about 2-3

I bought fake 34s and ended up going 285/75/17 K03s. I don't drive very much and a set of tires will take me 10 years to hit 50K. I figured do it once, do it the way I want. Let me know where your new shop is! I'd love to support a local business. I can do most of the work myself, it was the full transmission service with operating temp etc that worried me.
