Yea best bet is to try to tighten up everything. If that doesnt solve it try jacking up the front of the truck and see if you have any play if you wiggle the tire. I had bad Inner Tie Rod Ends that made a clunk and I had play left and right when I wiggle the tire. I also had blown out UCA bushings so that made some noise. Then yesterday I found that my brake caliper bolts had loosened up and that made my brakes sound weird.
    Always something making noise...

Yea that is a great idea

how did you make out with the wheel spacers?? Im guessing you ordered them judging by your signature :D

    see above..
how many miles do you have and where do you live?

psshhh... get it aligned and weld the cams in place.

found this on chenbro's truck today when we were swapping his suspension shit.. left in there by the "toyota mechanic" that changed his oil last lol

BTW.. nice meeting you today Davis. Good man.. brought me lots of good beer

yea just checked it out.. and if it ends on the 17th it looks like its dead.

if it doesnt work out you can get spidertrax wheel spacers from wheelers offroad for $195.90 (if you want 4) plus shipping.. (wasnt able to calculate it without adding all my shipping info)

lol that oil can was a worth a good laugh. It was great to finally meet you in person. Two years in this state and not once could I find time to do it. Mostly I was embarrased at the "stance" of my truck on the stock suspension, but we (mostly you) fixed that up good today

Do you have any details on the TSB? I'm thinking about taking it to Toyota, unless someone knows a good mechanic.

I'm in central NJ and this truck is a 2010 dbl cab/TRD and has about 6k miles on it - its still a pup!!!

I'm going to answer my own question :D and ask a few more...

I just found the TSB titled "Rear Spring Harsh Ride" dated 12/2010:
Has anyone had Toyota fix or apply this TSB? I've noticed the "bang" from both the front and the read, and with the bed mostly empty.

PS: I may promote this question to its own thread in the 2nd Gen forum - just to get some more data points.

Thanks All - This is without a doubt THE BEST FORUM ON THE WEB !

I just ran some fuel line down to near the hole in my skid so when I change the oil it drains into my pan.

There is a Wharton trail clean up in September but I haven't looked into what the date is this year. Last year had something like 300 trucks.

There is also car/truck show in Paulsboro in September thrown by the Misfits 4x4 club. This year will be the 9th annual event. They have an obstacle course, car crush, and mud pit run. Ive been there the past two years and it's always fun. Everything from Monster trucks to lowriderz.

I have the TSB springs. It has nothing to do with the front end. They simply give you a new rear leaf pack with an extra leaf so it can actually handle weight. Search TSB springs and you will find a ton of info on it.

yep, I got it zip tied to the frame or fuel line or some crap - I can't remember. I left it about 5" long so it sits on the skid and when I do a change I just flop it over to the hole.
