WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. - (AP) -- State police have identified a 61-year-old man who was killed this weekend while kayaking with his son in southern New Jersey's Pinelands region.
The Philadelphia Inquirer (http://bit.ly/12AWhMR) reports Richard Minteer of Westampton was in a remote part of Wharton State Forest when he hit an overhanging tree limb around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
The kayak overturned and Minteer fell into a swift current on the Oswego River. He then became entangled in some underwater tree roots, but was soon freed by his son and some other kayakers.
Minteer was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Canoeing and kayaking are popular in the rivers and streams of the forest, which spans more than 100,000 acres and is the largest tract of land in New Jersey's state park system.

Wtf.....that's crazy. At least I know CPR

19 year old kid died in the woods 2-3 weeks ago on the hill that Kevin blew his shock upset on. Never did find out how he died.

The father who died during a kayaking trip with his son in a remote part of Wharton State Forest on Saturday has been identified by state police as Richard Minteer, 61, of Westampton, Burlington County.
Minteer hit an overhanging tree limb, fell into a swift current on the Oswego River and became entangled in the underwater tree roots, State Trooper Charles Garrison said in a Sunday phone interview.
"He was kayaking in Washington Township with his son, where the tree was across the river," Garrison said.
"With the strong current, the kayak overturned and he became entangled in the tree underneath the water.
"With the assistance of other kayakers and his son," Garrison said, "they were able to pull him from underneath the water."
But after CPR was administered, Minteer "was pronounced deceased at the scene by a doctor at Virtua Voorhees, by telemetry," Garrison said.
The incident was reported to police at 12:24 p.m.
The site was remote enough, he said, that a state police helicopter was dispatched, "located the victim in the water" and "was able to direct us" to the scene because there were no nearby roads.

I don't care what he does. Just wish he wouldn't post videos of it because the ecco nazis use that shit against us to close down spots to vehicle access.

This is exactly why I tell the guys here to keep their shit on the DL if they are doing it....

Yeah I hear that it won't be long till there's nothing open for us to wheel, to each there own I guess I swamped my truck once that's plenty enough times for me. How he enjoys doing that I don't know but I'll take rocks over mud and water anyday

looked at it today....i rocked the truck side to side and from what I can tell and by looking up the part name...it looks like the front stabilizer bar link...? does that make sense for a clunking noise when on a bumpy road and pot holes?
