My air tank won't be in my bed. To cold up here for that shit. Ill keep it in my cab locked down with the nice powder coated bracket I just need to install. I never wanted a compressor until I got the one from pAP with the locker. To much BS for air. All my valves cost me less than $50 and the tansk are dirt cheap to swap out. I haven;t figured it all out yet in regards to money per fill up but I'm assuming less than pumping quarters into a pump. My tank should fill (40) 33" tires 20psi before running out.

    You got a big mailbox

    I shall

    Does it taste like floories?

Happy New Years Eve you SOB'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

forgot about this portion... bad comparison IMO.

If you run out of air with a tank you shouldn't be driving because if you're to stupid to fill your air tank you most likely wouldn't remember to fill your gas tank either.

An air tank is much more reliable. What could possible go wrong with it? It's not going to leak unless your a retard and don't thread it right - and if your that stupied you would never install a air compressor properly either.

There is literally no downfall IMO besides size and weight and in a truck who cares about size and weight? :D

Sounds like you're making a lot of assumptions. And you're right that weight isn't a huge deal in a truck, but finding room for it is. You have a different situation with your vehicle, but for mine I have no where to safely store an air tank other than the bed and it wouldn't be a convenient spot either.

Also you must've misunderstood my point about not knowing the tank is empty until you need it. I'm not talking about using it up and forgetting to refill it. I don't have an air tank and I'm no expert on them, but I'm sure there are reasons they can leak. Also the fact that you have to get them refilled at places that may or may not be convenient is a downfall to me. The place I get my welding gas is probably where I'd have to refill an air tank, and up until recently I had to take off from work to be able to go there during their working hours.

It was a nice day in Brigantine! The north end had 4 snow owls on the beach, pretty birds and cool how they just chill on the beach!

That sucks. A couple years strait I was sick on new years and hated it.

    Sweet!

I actually have no idea where I'm going to put it. My guess is somewhere on the back wall. What I do know is I won't be messing with it until it warms up - that's for sure :D

Just dunk it in a tub of water and if it's not leaking you're good to go.

I only ever had one tank drain on me in 7 years living at my sisters and that was due to a regulator going bad on our kegerator. Even if my regulator leaks it won't leak with the bottle turned off. Keg only drained because it was on.

Yea I guess filling can be an issue depending on your location, but not for me. Got a home brew store 3 miles away from my house that will charge $20 for a 10# (no idea about 15#) and a compressed gas company next door to my job that charges $13 for 15# so I'm set.

You need to dump the welding store and find another. There has to be something up there open and within easy access.
