I've been looking for a floor jack that can get my front wheels off the ground. I always have to use at least one wooden block, depending on whose garage I'm at. I'm about ready to buy sliders and a hi lift and call it done

You'll prob want something bigger. My craftsman 3 ton works nicely and was 70 for stands, jack and creeper. It's just a heavy sumbitch

I wouldn't buy it based on design but here is a good video on it
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_BMQJ1OLVM

I got this kit from Craftsman (same basic thin gauge jack design) and was disappointed from day 1.

The jack stands were completely worthless and couldn't even keep my tires off the ground with a 2x6 under them. I have yet to use them for anything. The jack was weak and seemed like it was overstressed by my truck. The jack ultimately ended up dying last summer when it folded over and exploded. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I have been using a 3 ton rapid pump from HFand will never got back to those little jacks again. If you have the space - get a full size IMO. For $89 you really can't go wrong.

Be sure and place the jack cup so that it's not lifting the connection of the third member/rear and your good to go.

    Ill read that someday :D

    stockbumperproblems :D

I prefer to jack the front bumper up vs sliders to get to a wheel.

Damn, that sucks. I was wondering what happened. Surprised they would fire you for it though. If I were you I would have asked the guy what reasoning I would have for putting more gas in than he asked for. Not like you get paid based on the gallons you pump.

Sorry to hear that buddy. Hopefully a new opportunity will present itself soon

As for the jacks, agreed with XXXX - I live up a few flights of stairs so a full size sucks for me, I tried a 2.25 ton with a case for ease of carrying but it sucked. I have 6 ton stands from HF. I'll invest in a good aluminum lightweight jack eventually, I think

I might get a decent bottle jack for the time being. I left the big bastard at home in my parents garage.

Expensive and not that much weight savings, still 55 LBS, my craftsman 3 ton is like 73 I think.

fuck it maybe i'll just get a hi lift and only lift from my sliders and hitch receiver.
