I do. Do you need them?

I've been considering the Nitto's too. Which one did you prefer of the two? The trail or terra?

 

I was running half nitto for last 2 years
And never had a sidewall failure

 

Who would be open the 8th for wheeling? PM me or post here if you would be able to make it. Also everyone knows Guard Dogs are the best tire ever.

 

Because that was the only part of the tire that was Nitto.

I agree. Plus install is pretty easy by yourself with basic tools and they are equally as strong in most cases.

 

That's my worry, but wasn't sure if worrying was goin to be as important as strength. If they are close to as strong (I know a weld would obviously stronger) I'm sold!

I think a lot of that dependings on the mounting style too. Some welders I don't think will be as strong as bolt ons, also depends who welds them. I have taken a lot of HARD hits on my bolt ons without incident, they have zero flex when you jack up the truck from them, they are very strong. Mine have 3, 1/4"x6+" U shaped brackets that wrap around the frame and a bolt goes in up top to cinch them together.

 

Is that standard bolt setup with 4x?

 

Pines, RC or Stokes? I want a solid let's wheel all day kind of day. I want to go back to RC really bad but again I'm stuck on easier trails unfortunately. Brad?

 

No, the mounting styles vary. WHite knuckle offroad makes some great stuff, check him out too, not sure if he does taco stuff. Super cool guy to deal with. I would have his stuff if it had worked for my application at the time i ordered sliders. Look into shrockworks too. You'll pay a lot and have a lot wait, but the craftsmanship on these things is top notch.

 

Hi guys I recently inherited a Tacoma 2007 from my grandfather who passed on. Seems there is a lot of knowledgable individuals in here, do any of you guys have good recommendation for a 6" lift for my baby?

They look wicked intense and heavy duty, but IMO i'd rather have a bracket that wraps around the backside of the frame. IDK if that's possible with the tacos.

 

Nothing a grinder can't take care of.

It mostly preference, I like the idea of them being welded to frame.

 

Mine are the DOM with kickout and Square main frame upgrade and I also added the spring bracket...
