    After a 2 1/2 hour delay it wasn't that bad. The place was just about brand new and the kids where good, the Fort Lauderdale airport was a little crazy though.

    I would take them off your hands but right now isn't a good time, between just getting back from a vacation and the wife wants to get some shit done around the house the truck has to go on the back burner for now or at least until I start cutting again.:rasta:

    ok I have a small problem my battery light just went on today and I have no idea why? Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this problem?

    Why is it "obvious" you dont think that light would come on for high voltage too?

    And I dont think it would have anything to do with the starter.

    The handful of times I've seen that light come on it was when people's alternators got swamped.

    Your best bet if it will run is to take it to an auto parts store that can test the alternator and tell you if it's alright.

    it came on after I got the truck washed never replaced the alternator before its original from 06

    Why would high voltage cause a short or sparking?

    Yea assuming he has a multi meter, but just because the battery has good voltage doesn't mean the alternator is good. Like I said before if he goes to an auto parts store they'll hook up a machine that checks the entire charging system.

    I would check the flux capacitor, it may not be getting the full 1.21 gigawatts of power.:p

    yeah I had it check out and everything was good he said it could be voltage regulator but that is in the alternator. But something weird happened the light went off then flickered and then stayed on. I checked all the connections and everything is tight.:notsure::help:

    they are the ones who checked it out and said it was all good so I got a new alternator cause I looked online and read the same thing about it being the voltage regulator.
