    Property taxes in PA are much cheaper than NJ in most cases, aren't they? Not to mention cheaper car insurance.

    This shit has me really confused. My NJ taxation was based on my entire income, but when I do my taxes it's only showing what I paid to NJ from my NJ job but not showing the tax I paid to PA.

    Yeah, I was pissed they had to wait until the end of January to file my taxes. Damn lazy government and their shutdowns.

    BTW - little know fact, regardless of when you file if you owe money the due date is the same. So just file your damn taxes.

    How did you do your taxes? A free online program?

    Turbotax FTW!

    I was reluctant to use it at first but many many years later I like being in control of my own stuff. I used to have a guy who did them for me and it was a total pain in the ass. Drop him off the paperwork, hope I gave him everything, sit there for an hour while he asks me questions, 20 days later he send me the crap to mail in, costs me much more, and if he screws up I'm liable ..... screw that crap.

    I never procrastinate regarding money :) nom nom nom

    Most likely, I just automatically assumed I needed to file two since I had two w-2's with incomes in different states. I don't think I can amend it till NJ accepts the return, which likely won't be till I have the payment come out of my account next pay day.
