    There is nothing wrong with starting on a 250. Cheap, reliable, and it can teach you how to really ride. Besides they hold their resale value 95% of the time because people are always looking into getting into riding. Ride it for a season, get a feel for it all, then move up when you feel comfortable.

    Couldn't agree more. A sport bike is the worst bike to learn how to ride on. 250s are a great beginner bike. I just don't like the one zack posted. My neighbor has a honda 250 ripsol edition or something and I'm always impressed with it. Plus it looks decent.
