Hey everybody. I am somewhat new to this forum, and this is my first post. I am glad that I ran into this NJ discussion. What is the deal with wheeling at Wharton? I am not too far from there, but I have no experience with the area/park? Can you get trailmaps? I honestly have no clue about it, and I have tried to find information on it with no such luck. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

welcome brother, it looks like up north this weekend wont be too good due to all the snow, i still have some shovelin to do, trg, next weekend looks like when we will be wheelin, so if you south/central jersey guys are up for it, i think it can work. 3 feet here in sussex county, so any trail will def have waaay to much for even a lifted truck, and us stockers, ouch, cant wait to get everyone together, i know joe is itchin

Well...This is a shit load of water, not just puddles but 2 to 3 hundred yard mini ponds. They seem fine until you get half way in and then the world drops out and the taco is not to water tight when you are just sitting in the puddle. Trust me I had water up to the speakers inside the truck. The terrain is all flat with no technicals, lots of sand, and pine scrubs that give you wonderful pinstripes:rolleyes:.

Check out the photos from the last trip.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/off-roading-trails/35230-wharton-nj-scatch-splash.html

Btw after that I had to replace the starter due to water and sand shorting it out.

Yea, I would say there is quite a bit of water there, ha ha. May have to wait until everything dries up a little. I am just looking for some fun stuff to do once the weather warms up a little. Figured some people on here would know better than me. I am around the Cherry Hill area, so let me know when anyone is going out. I will also try to get some pictures posted of my truck when I get a chance. Nothing special, a 2005 4-cyl regular cab 4x4 tacoma. First year they came out with the new truck. I bought it new in '05 and have since re-done my suspension twice. Currently I am running OME 884 coils and struts up front, Dakars in the rear, 285x75x16 BFG All-Terrains, and I just had to get a CV joint cut in to my driveshaft due to vibes. I got this done at Camper Bob's in Hainesport on Route 38. I am definitely not qualified to do driveshaft work and they were helpful there. I did not even know this place existed until recently being that I have done all the other work to my truck myself. Pretty neat little 4x4 shop and very knowledgeable. Just figured I would inform you guys of this place because I had a heck of a time finding a good place that does driveshaft work when I was looking (about three months).
