mjp2/mike and martie 1st christmas in the new house twas the night before christmas
Twas the night Christmas when all through the house
not a MOD was stirring not even a member
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
in the hopes that TC BOB soon would be there

The children were all snug in their beds
while visions of TACOMAS 4wheeling danced in their heads
And Mama (martie in her kerchief and i in my (mjp2)
    in my cap
had just settled down for a long winters nap

When out on the roof there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter
Away to the window I flew like a flash
tore open the shutter and threw up the sash
as martie is yelling what the hell is wrong with
you its cold shut the sash you ass and get back
    to bed

The moon on the new Paint of my Tacoma gave a lustre of midday to
objects below when that to my wondering eyes should appear
but a new TACOMA not on jackstands and eight tiny reindeer

With a little old driver so lively quick
I know in a moment it must be TCBOB
More rapid than eagles his courses they came
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name

    now chris4x4 now hottamale
    now xxxx now inpulsered008
    now tacomaman06 now brutalguyracing
    now Ddayisnear now Charli
to the top of the porch to the top of the wall
Now dash away dash away all

As the dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly
when they meet with an obstacle mount to the sky so up to the house top the courses they flew with the sleigh full of toys for our trucks
    AND TCBOB too

And then in a twinkling I heard on the roof
the prancing and pawing of each little Bridgestone A/T REVO2
As i drew in my head and was turning around
down the chimney TCBOB came with a bound

He was dressed all in fur from hes head to his foot
and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot
a bundle of toys he flung on his back
and he looked like a toyota salesman just opening his pack

His eyes how they twinkled his dimples how merry
his cheeks were like roses his nose like a cherry
LIKE HE HAD TOO MANY his little mouth was drawn up
like a bow and the beard on his chin was as
White as the PAINT ON BEEFTACOs truck
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth
he had a broad face and a little round belly
that shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly
(side note hope hes laughing )

He was a chubby and plump a right old elf
and i laughed when i saw him in spite of myself
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
soon gave me to know i had nothing to dread

He spoke not a word but went straight to his work
and fulled all the stocking with toys for our trucks
Then turned with a jerk and laying hes finger aside
hes nose and giving a nod up the chimney he rose

He sprang to his Tacoma to his team gave a whistle
and away they all flew like a Tacoma with a supercharger
BUT i heard exclaim ere he drove out of sight

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night
    Merry Christmas all Dave T

thanks josh! went to see my insurance claims adjuster today and he delivered a ton of bad news. her insurance wont cover my deductible, the shop is going to need my truck for 6-8 weeks, and my policy doesnt cover a rental. seeing as i have no extra vehicles in my family and i cant afford $30/day for 6-8 weeks, im gonna be biking it to and from work/school. praying it doesnt snow!! what an inconvenience this is. mother nature is one nasty bitch

Wow that sucks. I know the insurance won't cover anything. I've got a maple that's over 100 years old in my backyard. It's been losing more and more branches each storm. Since the storm in early November, I've been on the list to have it taken down at a cost of 3,200 bucks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed everyday that we don't get a storm and it take out someone's house. They should be here the first week in January.

What you should consider doing is looking at one of those places that takes in donated cars. A lot of them sell them real cheap and they still run. I knew a guy that would buy a car for a few hundred bucks and it would last him a year or two. That would be a lot cheaper than a rental and once you get the truck back, you can re-donate it and get a tax write-off. There's a place in Spring Lake that does it (that's the one my friend went to).

    Good luck with your situation.
