Lol. They are tougher than you would think. Use a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to pop them off (2nd time ive done it on the passenger side) and then some grease and pop them into the new spindle. Used a flathead screwdriver and a hammer again to tap it all the way into place. The hub caps are harder to get off than the seals, but pb blaster, flathead screw driver and hammer will pop the cap off.

    And so you know..

    You will need:
17 mm wrench to remove the hub from the spindle.
35 mm socket for axle nut
Needle nose pliers for axle nut retainer and tie rod end castle nut
17 mm socket for tie rod end castle nut and brake caliper
19 mm socket for bottom of spindle where LCA bolts on
    Flat head screw driver
    Rubber mallet
Ball pien hammer or generic bfh
Whatever you need to disconnect uca. Mine was 21mm socket for top and 22mm for bottom. Remember you will need a wrench for the nut after you install the new spindle because of the gusset.

I went to sears and bought everything I used and tossed it in a bag to keep in the truck. Now Everytime I work on the truck I'll go buy all the tools I needed so I don't need to worry if I ever break down on the trail. :D

Edit: and don't make the same mistake I made.. Twice..
Have someone step on the brakes so you can get the 35 mm axle but off, BEFORE you remove the brake caliper.

    Haha that he does!

I planned to do a write up so I took all the pics last year when I had to replace a spindle. Then when I started typing it up I was like nah fuck this.. Too much work.

Never thought about putting it in 4wd for that.. Wouldn't it still be able to spin unless the front diff has a locker?

Does anyone have schematics or blueprints for under belly skids. Also, if pics are had, can u put dimensions? Found a metal fab guy and maybe he can make things locally for cheap but plentiful business. Also any bumper plans? Front or rear, how great to have a local guy.....hmmm
