Anyone know what the best exit off the parkway is, or the most direct route to basto station?

pretty sure basto station is on county rd 542, if you google wharton state forest, it should show up right next to batsto lake. looks like GSP exit 52 is the closest one, then you take back roads to link up with CR542, then take that west.....

didn't see an address on the link, or did u just put in Batsto visitors center in the GPS? I just bought a garmin nuvi 255w, maybe that will have it in there? I found some topo maps/trail maps from www.gpsfiledepot.com for wharton to be used on the Garmin nuvi gps units if anyone has one. I downloaded it for free and when my GPS unit comes im' goin to try and load it on there.

oh duh  here we go...:D

Historic Batsto Village is located on Route 542 in the Wharton State Forest, Washington Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. It is about 45 miles Southeast of Philadelphia and approximately 25 miles in a Westerly direction from Atlantic City. The nearest significant town is Hammonton, NJ 08037 which is about 8 miles to the West.

    Parkway Directions from South Jersey:
Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit #50, exit to Route 9 North. Proceed to Route 542 & turn left. Follow signs about 12 miles to Batsto Village.

    Parkway Directions from North Jersey:
Take the Garden State Parkway South to Exit #52 (New Gretna). Turn right at stop sign onto E. Greenbush Road. Make left at stop sign. Go over two small wooden bridges. Pilgrim Lake Campground will be on Right. Make left onto Leektown Road. Continue 2 miles to a stop sign. Stay straight on Leektown Road. Continue 3 miles to stop sign. Turn right onto Route 542 West. Stay on 542 for approx. 9 Miles. Batsto Village is on the right.

Sounds good. Did you purchase it off the internet? I went to Radio Shack this past weekend and they had a terrible selection. Hell, I can't think of any other store that would sell them either...

Hey guys, my brother and I are going to head out to Wharton tomorrow afternoon around 1pm or so to look cruise around for a while. He has a 2500 Cummins so were gonna have to find some trails that a full size truck can work with. We have never been, so we are plannin on winging it with some maps courtesy of Oswego (thanks). We are planning on heading in around atco raceway. If anyone wants to make a last minute trip, let me know (I also understand that it is a workday). Any last minute advice would be great too. I am sure we will be fine though. Thanks.
