Uphill pull another truck from a dead stop. Burnt clutch sniff test after, instant fail if there's smoke.

4lo 1st gear no throttle might do it. And that's not even in my favor.

Being as the last clutch I ordered never shipped, I have decided to go with a Urd clutch. Not sure between stage one or new stage 3 beef" clutch. New design seems like is good, but all that extra "bite" has me concerned with off road applications. Is this correct to be concerned that a stage 3 won't be best for o.r. Use?

Not high horsepower. Maybe high torque when you're in low range, but how often do you actually NEED a high performance clutch? Plus your pedal is gonna be really really hard. I've set up clutches in dirt track cars. You don't want a stiff pressure plate for a daily driver. You'll get pissed off pretty quick

Stage 3 might be a bit overkill for your appllication, all the boosted guys use this. I have this on my xrunner it grips very good and hold lots of power. You can still slip it and drive it normally on day to day basis. Your pedal feel will not change it will not be stiff, it feels like stock.

if you want you can call Gadget at URD, tell him what kind of driving you do and he will hook you up with the best clutch for the truck he does some off roading also.

Prob good idea, it seems to be durable, and I pull a lot of weight every few months, and my girl drives it sometimes. So durability is important
