Unfortunately America is a credit based society, employment, insurance rates are a couple examples of things that vary based on credit worthiness. I understand is hard, but is a necessity to maximize profit. For example, if u have 500 deductible, may cost extra $100 a year, if u have a cc you don't use with $1000 limit, and have a $1000 deductible, may only cost $12 a year. Over 10 years 20 years etc etc , you save a ton of money and can use cc for deductible if u ever need it. I have gone from a 700+ credit score, to a 500 to about 750 today. Discipline u need for using of credit u see, ahhh

i pay the balance in full anyway…. I been cashing out 300 bucks every other 9 months or so…. 300 is not huge but still
and the best part is that some of my job expenses are reinbursed to me on a monthly bases…. and guess what credit card I use

 

Wen I worked in the corporate world, I expensed all my hotel and car rentals and food, etc....all on my card, paid for by coporate. Earned 27 nights with Marriott anywhere in world. Only about 6 nights left I believe, and tons of bonus perks and flyers miles etc. was damn nice. Thank u economical crash

 

i think you are wrong here…. 20 points is not $20…. its more like $0.02

maybe you meant to say that $20 its 20 points, because to cash in its usually 1 point = $0.01
u gain 1 point for every dollar but you cant cash 1 point for a full dollar…. shit would be free….

Not sure how that plays a factor? Regardless of whether you pay your balance in full or not, use your points to pay it down, or use them for gift cards that give you a better value for your points. Do not make straight purchases with your points as that is an opportunity lost to earn more points.

 

i cash in and money goes into one of my CD's and keep on growing…. i dont use it for purchases…. But i get your point!
