(RANT AHEAD) Once you leave the county (talking about that smug overrated city north of me) you start to notice how crappy, greasy and salty other tacos shops are. I'm not saying that there's not spots like that here in SD, but it's rare. I know a few horrible shops, but it's a given.

I mean.. If you're using cheese whiz or nacho sauce in your soggy greasy burritos, you need to reevaluate your whole life(RANT OVER)

 

Truth! We had really good luck at just picking places near us while we were down there. I’m thinking we will have to go to a padres game next season and get some good food! I’ll have to reach out to you for suggestions!

 

That's good! I've been let down by trying a new spot and it's a major bummer, but that's rare.

A good rule of thumb (if you have the opportunity to try multiple spots) that I figured out over the years is if the shops carne asada is soggy, the rest of the food probably isn't that great. Places that actually take their time to properly char their meat are light years better then the other guys. It comes down to quality over laziness.

Have you been to Petco before? Prices are steep but the experience is worth it. I've had some great memories in that stadium. Try and find a Tuesday game, they do a massive Taco Tuesday feast. It's outstanding. Not to mention all the famous local spots implemented into the park.

We have not been to Petco yet. Driven by a couple times but never there when games have been played. Petco is the last CA stadium to go to on the list so it will most likely be 2024. We are looking forward to it for sure.

 

Oh ya that's right! That's awesome you guys did the whole ball park tour. Still a dream of mine. Can't remember if I asked you this or not but did you ever have a chance to see a game at Jack Murphy? (Qualcomm)

 

No we did not. We started the tour about 5 years ago so unfortunately we missed some that I really wanted to go to. Not a Yankees fan at all but wish we could’ve gotten to the old park also.

 

If you put this logo on a Richardson trucker hat I’d buy another, lol. Sadly the low pro (or whatever it’s called) doesn’t fit my head well

if so I have a Teq hat in that style and that’s a much better fit.

 

Although I will say, one of my favorite hats that wasn't a trucker. Was this Richardson performance team series flexfit.
