    No flooding really lots of trees down throughout. Plus Center Point Energy not pre staging and being prepared. It is a big clusterf$k. Over 2 million without power from storm Monday morning and still over a 1 million without power today. Luckily for me sister in law has power and we can sleep there with AC.

    I saw Matagorda got freaking rocked. I watched a few storm chasers go live while they were in the middle of the eye wall. Gnarly..

    Well I hope they get things powered back up quickly for you guys. Mother nature can be wild! Stay cool my friend!

    Yikes, it's no fun doing all that clean up work & no power. I'm glad you've got an oasis you can escape to for sleep time. We went right at 2 weeks after Ida, until we got power back. At least we had a Honda genny to keep the fridges going & a few fans.

    Hope you get power soon.

    @theolee and others.

    what’s the best way to attach hook and loop to the back of patches?

    On vacation and picked up a new patch and picked up a couple others that a deceased family member left for me. All are in true iron on fashion. Would like to add them to the headliner with the rest of the ever growing collection.

    I used outdoor heavy duty hook and loop cut to size. Glue is a bit stronger.

    I did something very similar to John. I ordered some Velcro with some good ratings from Amazon and stuck the patches to the glue then carefully trimmed around the edges. Worked pretty good. I used it for some Air Force patches I had that didn’t have Velcro.

    Exactly what @AllTacosFloat did is the key. Just remember, most iron-on patches come with adhesive already on the back. If you're using Velcro with adhesive, you'll end up with double adhesive and your patches have the potential to melt off the headliner on those hot summer days in the sun.
    Some tend it hang in there and be holding on for dear life, trips me out lol. I've also had quality patches melt apart while driving and hit me in the face sooo... lol...

    You can tell if the iron-on patch has a lot of adhesive. If it does, I careful held the patch over a stove element till it got sticky enough to remove it. This can be difficult and potentially damage your patch, so try at your our risk.

    Have fun! :wink:

    That's that fancy stuff! :)

    I've thought about using it in the past. What is your feelings it?

    Only worth it if you have other uses. Can’t say it holds that much better overhead but never had any fall or separate on me with this. I tried a cheap regular Velcro style and the glue wouldn’t hold the patch. Patch would fall and hook and loop would still be up.
