Just let me know, everything really depends on where you want to go and what things you want to do when there.

Waiting on it to get in... Then 40 min. Later I will find out how quick this truck is.

Hey Nick, what pulley are you running on your T4R? Did you change the mapping in your URD programmer?

Okie dokie. Hoping you're checking in. What am I looking for in a sleeping bag? I have some basic knowledge like synthetic vs. down and temp. ratings do matter but not sure how to pick out what best suites my needs. Thinking synthetic just in case of getting wet. Also looking at keeping it as light as needed. Would like to use it for backpacking as well.

@tomtom http://www.snugpak.com/ has some awesome sleeping bags. I use their 'Tactical 2' sleeping bag, the insulation is some space age shit. Rolls up to just bigger than a football and is rated for 'comfortable use' at 32 degrees. Of course it wasn't cheap... A cheaper option might be a surplus USGI sleeping system. A little bulkier, but you can just pack what you need for the weather. Also a fraction of the price.

That plus a bivvy bag will keep you plenty warm and try, and both roll up nicely into a pack. I did a shitload of research before picking that thing up. Down gets all kinds of fucked up when its wet, and loses its insulating properties (I have experience).

Holy shit. I had a Sierra Designs bag awhile ago that I thought was the shiznit. That takes it to a whole different level. Definitely on my list now.

@tomtom I like Snugpak as well but as Kylsix said, they are a bit expensive. My personal favorite brands are Marmot and Western Mountaineering. The best thing to keep in mind is where you want to camp. I am not sure what temps drop to at night here in NM, but back in California I would plan for freezing weather in the middle of summer. that being said, to cut down on pack space, I would consider sleeping with thermals on. Hope that helps.

Along that same line on inquiry, might we soon plan a camping trip? The weather seems to be getting steadily warmer, and I ache for the outdoors.

I'm still looking for someone's take-off front springs, if anyone has some.

I am planning an off-roading/camping trip to Ouray 4th of July weekend with a group of people from work. It's a couple weeks before the FJ Summit. Let me know if you want to come.
