    I have too many Toyotas...
Everything... and a bag of Cheetos.
I had a look at the Chama coming out of El Vado last Saturday and it was raging. Also got to see the Brazos, upper Chama, and Conejos and they were all cranking. Were you planning on fishing? I never do well that far down, but I hear some big browns move up out of Abiquiu in the fall if you can time it right.

You must not have been watching too close in 2017... Right around this time in '17 it hit almost 6,000 CFS for a couple of days. Has only peaked at about 5,200 so far this year. Seems like feast or famine in recent years as we swing from above normal snowpack to well below normal from one year to the next.

We opened ours last weekend and I went over Cumbres/La Manga... it was impressive how much snow is still on top. I'll post a pic later.

Nice! How'd you like the new camper shell setup? The perros look happy.

We were thinking of going camping last weekend, but bagged it because of the cold front.

It was better than the lady and I had expected. I took out the old foam mattress and ordered a new one but of course, it didn't come in time so I think the next round will be even better not having to use the camp pads. The pic of the dogs is right before we left so they were pretty excited but more so once they got around the water and of course the cow patties which we weren't very fond of haha.

Ya the weather up there was kinda crappy pretty windy during the day but it was perfect at night other than the temp but a good campfire solved that.

    When the Flip-Pac's a-rockin, don't come a knockin, right?! ;)

Do your dogs roll in the cow pies or eat them? Our last dog did both... fun times. We had our eyes on the Santa Barbara drainage or Borrego Mesa, so I imagine the weather would have been similar.

Haha truer words haven't been spoken.

Thankfully they don't roll in them but it's definitely their favorite snack. Luckily if they did roll in them at least the creek is right there! Where is Santa Barbara Drainage??

Santa Barbara is just SE of Penasco, NM... east of Truchas/Trampas. There is a lot of good camping along those small creeks that drain the west side of the Pecos Wilderness.

I imagine setting up a Mr. Buddy heater in your tent would get everything nice and toasty on a cold night.

Interesting I'll have to wander up that way one of these days never been up in that area to camp before.

That's exactly what we did it got down to the mid 30s and the heater kept it at a really nice temperature.

That's awesome you got out! We should meet up for a beer this week and see if we can figure out somewhere to take the tacos this weekend.

I got my bike out to Otero Canyon yesterday for the first since the fall. Trails and weather were awesome!

It's good to see people getting outside... I've got a few shots to share from recent weeks.

La Manga Pass in early May... there's still a ton of snow up high.

Hiking with the dog in the foothills in early May, and had never seen so many wildflowers in the Sandias before.

The family and I made it to CO for Memorial Day and had some adventures...

On Sunday it was raining down low...

    So I went higher...

And higher, until it turned into snow, in late May. What a start to the year!

Looks like fun! I've never been but I'm hoping to go to the dune national park sometime in the next month or 2.
