I keep forgetting to upload the GPS stuff from the Puerco run if anyone is interested. There are two files one of the routes we took (I cleaned it up a bit and could probably use a bit more) and the other is a point file of obstacles out there. Let me know if anyone has questions or would like me to edit anything.

Hey guys so I’m curious if anyone is planning on doing a day run any time soon (next week or two)?

I’d like to get out again and run Cedro, puerco, or some forest roads with in a decent travel time.

I'm planning on running some jemez forest roads on Sunday to see if I can find a new camping spot. I'm not 100% set on jemez yet, might try to find another area.

Had to put new tires on the truck because of nails. Broke the new tires in the very next day.

It took me over 3 hours one way to get to that spot. I found it on google earth and drove out there. There is only one camp spot on the river so it looks like if it's taken you have to back track out of the canyon. If you are still interested in the spot shoot me a pm.

Me and two of my friends from college just took a last minute easy trip up Las Huertas Canyon yesterday. It was nice to get out of the city for awhile but still stay close. It was also a 35* difference being in the mountain compared to the valley. It felt amazing.

One of them just bought a new (to him) FJ and the other got his quicksand a few months ago. They didn't realize how big of a difference driving in 4HI makes when on dirt roads compared to 2wd.

We definitely saw a lot of tacomas up there too.

Anybody know of a decent spot that won’t be overrun to do a little dryfly fishing? Have a weekend pass signed by the wife...

Haven’t touched my cane rods since I’ve moved to NM.
