Awesome thanks! Yeah I heard the same thing on it, some people gave just the weight of the bumper which the 80 pounds makes sense. And the 200 might be with packaging on the crate.

I keep going back and forth on an ARB but the unsure weight was kind of stopping me

Stumbled on this one due to the '05-'11 ARB mated to a newer truck (I did the same) but found a great truck. Love the build and pictures! I would suggest doing more research before "upgrading" to 886 front coils. I was running 887's and swapped because of the bumper/winch. Frankly, the 886's top out way to often. I was still at ~2-2.25" lift with the 887's after the added weight and they rode great.

Sorry for the late response. I've been on a fishing trip in the Everglades for the past couple days.

Good to know! Thanks for the input, I've been torn between the 886's and 887's. I was leaning towards the 887's due to the improved ride quality, but was unsure of how much lift to expect with my setup.

Good to hear of someone else putting the older style ARB on the 2012+'s. I thought I was the only one on here!

Hope you had a good time fishing!
Being a DCLB, my truck is already heavier than yours. I've got full skids and sliders weighing me down too, so you should see a little more lift out of 887's than I did. I've seen others claim that they got the same results out of adding a spacer to their 885's. I still have my 887's in a box, so I haven't checked if that's true or not.

    just stumbled onto this.

    Love the pictures.

Those thule bars strong enough for the tent?

    any problems?

what model thule bars are they?

    Fishing was great!

Thanks for the advice. I would like to run full skids at some point, and I already have my 5100's @ .85" with 885's. Once I get full skids I'll probably go to 887's. I prefer spring lifts over spacers.

I've never had any problems with the Thule bars. I'm not sure what model they are, just the standard load bars that work with the artificial rain gutters.

I will say, even though I've never had any problems with the above setup, I would not recommend it. I would go with Relentless bed bars. The Thule's are fine on top of the cap, but when you mount them on the bed rails the feet are spread too far apart and the bars sag from the weight.

I only ran that setup for one weekend and put the cap back on.

    Nice rig!
Any word on your decision about 886s vs 887s? I have a similar setup (5100s with 885s and a winch and steel plate armor) and I've settled from about 2.5" of lift to 1.5" up front. Debating taking out the 5100s/885s and the Icon AAL, and swapping everything for OME 90021s/886s + Dakar leaf pack/OMEs in the rear. I'm just not convinced 5100s/887s will restore the full inch of lift since they are only 5mm longer than the 885s, and I'm curious what others are doing. Thanks!

I primarily use a Delorme Atlas with a Garmin Rhino GPS for coordinate, which I rate use to relate to the map.

I haven't changed much recently, but my intentions are to change to 887's once the weather improves. I've also settled to about 1.5" of lift.

    I agree!

Your truck looks great. I have one question- did you need anything other than the Daystar cradles to get your ride-rites to work with the 1.5" progressive AAL? I already have the same AAL, and I am adding the ride rites because I have a slide-in camper that weighs about 1,000 lbs loaded.

Awesome...! So what did you trim..? When I was reserching I saw the SEMA Oakley truck, they trimmed the lower grill is that what you did...?

Could you have cut the O.E. Bumper to fill in the gaps between the lights and the grill..? Looks awesome..!

    Thanks!

I definitely could have cut the O.E. bumper to fill the gaps. The only reason I didn't was, I had a friend who was willing to pay $150 for the O.E. bumper, so I sold it to him.

I originally trimmed the bumper supports that hold the top edge of the O.E. bumper in place, but I eventually removed them for a cleaner look. However, you'd have to leave them in place to hold the O.E. bumper trimmings in place if you went that route.
