My 98 Tacoma runs fine with no ac belt, is there any problems that can come from doing this, the belt seems to just run the ac, and I don't care if I have no ac.

Defrost won’t be as effective, but that’s about it.

Many years ago I purchased my 98. AC belt was off. I thought.. hmmmm.... that's odd why did they do that? put a belt on and the AC worked but the idler pulley was shot. Turned into a bigger job than expected. lol AC still works to this day!
