brakes are fine, im going to get a compression test soon, sensors all seem to be ok that i can read on my UG. could the speedo being so far off limit the engine?

No clue, the 4cyl aren't fast by any means. I am not an expert on gears, but I am over geared on 35's with 4.88s. With you running 33's, could it just be that you need a taller tire?

i was wondering this as well, would the additional travel of the tire put me higher in speed and lower rpms for a broader range of usability.

would that cause the lack in power?

Did you play with the gear calculator I linked in post #18?

Miles on the truck would be interesting too? And the 'life it's led'. Might reinforce the pointing to compression issues.

in short, yes. that regulator may not be keeping up with the fuel demands at that speed and load. you would really need a gauge on the fuel line to see if the necessary pressure exists at that point.

lol ok ill swap the regulator as well. its getting to the point that im about to start browsing LS1 engines because itll be cheaper than fixing this and ill get insane power. MAF was thoroughly cleaned as well.

i don't want to encourage just slinging parts at a problem.... do the compression test. see if it is feasible to get a fuel test gauge and troubleshoot with that. lastly, you may have an issue with the wiring for the fuelpump. you can try a simple relay swap to see if the relay is causing extra resistance in the power wire. this could cause a voltage/amperage issue.

ill try that, im going to be beyond pissed if a $5 relay has been my issue this whole time.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Good advice, & I'd think it would be lit up like a christmas tree with codes thrown with that kind of decreased performance..
